Linkstorm is seeking a Technical Operations Manager with at least 4+ years of hands-on systems administration (of either Windows or *nix boxes). The person who fills this role will manage both office infrastructure and production systems, working in all matters ranging from detailed systems administration to high-level contract management. We need someone who wants to work in a rapidly growing systems environment and looking to solve interesting challenges along side a great team. To qualify an applicant must love systems administration and should have experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows-based servers and desktops, plus a strong background in network management; and be up on all the latest trends in hardware and network architecture.

Responsibilities

* Manage Windows-based office servers;
* Manage Windows-based office workstations and network;
* Manage RHEL-based production and development servers;
* Write highly functional shell scripts used in applications;
* Oversee application deployments and environment configuration;
* Resolve issues in large-scale, multi-site deployments; and,
* Enjoy tight collaboration with our senior team, while driving own efforts.

Required Skills/Qualifications

* 4+ years of direct systems administration of either Windows or Linux/Unix;
* 2+ years of network management;
* 2+ years of web and/or application server management;
* 1+ years of e-mail administration;
* 1+ years of DNS administration;
* 1+ years of vendor or contract management; and,
* Solid verbal and written communications skills.

Non-Required/Plus Skills

* T-1 (Data/VoIP) Management;
* Phone System Administration
* Maven, Ant, Java, and/or MySQL experience;
* Understanding of software development processes;
* Experience working on multi-developer projects using source repositories; and,
* Exposure to high-capacity architectures.
