VP, Interactive Product Management
Background:
Cablevision Systems Corporation is one of the nation's leading entertainment and telecommunications companies with cable operations serving more than 3 million households in the New York metropolitan area. Cablevision's new Digital Marketing and Commerce division is developing new state of the art interactive sales models that will leverage the operator's fiber platform and high penetration in the New York market. The company's advanced services include Interactive Optimum(IO) digital television, Optimum Online high-speed Internet, Optimum Voice digital voice-over-cable, and its Optimum Lightpath integrated business communications services.
Responsibilities:
The Vice President, Interactive Product Management will help drive the growth and monetization of Cablevision's interactive business by implementing product strategies and roadmaps that create and enhance interactive venues within iO and Optimum Online that translate into sales engines for new, high-margin client businesses.
The VP will coordinate with both internal and external groups to oversee the design, development, delivery and operations of new interactive products and features on television leveraging Cablevision's advanced digital network and interactive platform. Additionally, the VP will oversee ITV strategy, product development, operations and management to maximize Cablevision's segment of the advertising and commerce markets. The VP will help evaluate Interactive advertising, commerce opportunities for both Cablevision and, potentially, beyond. In this role, the VP will help drive decision making regarding advertising and T-Commerce initiatives of the company for growth and
industry leadership, guiding product development to continually enhance offerings and attributes to current and new markets.
Specific responsibilities include:
· Assisting in the development and execution of strategies to create and monetize interactive businesses (via commerce and/or advertising) across platforms
· Developing business cases and plans to launch new revenue generating products and services
· Operational oversight for interactive television applications (24/7) including ITV sites, Advertising Channels, Enhanced linear TV applications, Commerce Applications, Optimum Classifieds, and iO user interface elements
that support advertising and com merce, including launches, content updates,24/7 support, escalation and feature enhancements
· Overseeing product requirements development for new product features and functionality.
· Collaborating with external design partners and agencies to develop compelling and world-class interactive product experiences.
Qualifications:
· Five years or more of management experience for an interactive, media and/or advertising company
· MBA preferred.
· Strong Interactive product management, business development and strategic planning experience within the interactive television and/or internet space.
· An entrepreneurial track record with advertising, sales, marketing, operations building, and budgetary management skills.
· Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and communicate key elements of strategic vision and execution
· Thorough understanding of broad organizations and ability to develop and evaluated management and communications processes across functions.
