Program Description:
Under the leadership of the Vice President, Marketing, the Web Editor will be responsible for developing content on the public web site, posting new content, assisting with online strategy and some light graphics work.

Responsibilities:
Assist with strategy and analysis of Marketing and Development Department's online initiatives, especially fundraising support on- and offline.
Assist with coordinating marketing and public education initiatives online in alignment with multi-channel pubic awareness campaigns.
Revise and refresh the Safe Horizon website – including site navigation and content creation – to support the Safe Horizon brand and strategic fundraising and awareness-raising initiatives, with the support of Safe Horizon’s Senior Director of Marketing and the Web Administrator.
Draft and finalize new web content – including surveys, emails, web pages and other features – for day-to-day web features as well as special events, promotions and initiatives.
Coordinate development and writing of web content with various departments and external writers and proofreaders when necessary to ensure the validity and impact of all content.
Create online style guide in alignment with Safe Horizon brand.
Help maintain website content, including proofing, formatting and layout, in accordance with online style guide.
Help modify and optimize graphics for web deployment, including slide shows.
Draft periodic e-newsletters and emails and support Web Administrator in mailing and database management when needed.
Keep track of web statistics for the Safe Horizon website with support from Web Administrator.
Other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
3 – 5 years experience in online content creation, management and fundraising for a nonprofit, preferably in social services sector, including experience:
Writing for websites and email communications.
Analyzing email campaigns and website features.
Managing updates and new features, including managing outside vendors as needed.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with Photoshop and Web design a plus.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Salary Description: Mid $40s
