We seek a highly talented individual who is an accomplished financial professional to report to the CFO. In this critical role you will be looked to as a strong leader and key contributor to the development and implementation of the financial policy and reporting procedures for this dynamic company. The VP Finance will oversee financial matters including accounting processes, billing, collections, accounts payable and payroll activities globally. With a highly operational focus and results orientation, the VP Finance will be a performance leader and driver of change inside the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
He/she will provide leadership and support to the CFO and senior management team with respect to all financial operational issues across the business.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s financial function and performance, including monthly forecasts and operational evaluation / management of risks and opportunities facing the business.
Responsible to the CFO of kgb to ensure that monthly and quarterly accounting results reflect all transactions in the business in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS in a timely manner.
Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs as a strategic business partner
Help ensure that kgb is run on a solid financial footing
Evaluate and advise on the impact of the company’s operations on long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action which may be needed.
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budget variances, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures by way of systems which will improve overall operation and effectiveness and reduce costs.
Establish financial reporting procedures and documentation for all SEC and share-holder requirements.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of contract proposals, project management and coordination, potential alliances, acquisitions and/or investments.
Support the M & A activities of the company and participate in the business development function as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree required with CPA and MBA highly desirable.
A strong grounding in a Big 4 accounting firm is a pre-requisite of this high-profile position.
Experience of US GAAP and SEC reporting in a public or private company environment is essential. Experience of IFRS would be highly advantageous.
Experience of overseeing financial matters in both the US and internationally.
Experience as a Controller within a large publically traded company or as a CFO within a smaller publically traded company
Demonstrate the ability to manage all ongoing financial processes consistent with the prevailing financial regulations in the US and Europe.
Experienced in supporting mergers & acquisitions, and possess a strategic vision and demonstrated ability to take the Company to the next level.
Experienced financial executive with appropriate experience, preferably in the media, content, internet or telecommunications fields.
High ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
Possess sound technical and analytical skills, excellent judgment and a strong operational focus.
Possess a track record of success and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents, respond effectively to sensitive inquiries; and make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to the Senior Management and outside investors.
Experienced in leading a multi-location finance team.
Experience of Oracle Financials would also be highly advantageous.
