Requirements:

  • Strong
    background in UI/HCI, interactive design, and advanced visualizations
  • BS/MS
    in Computer Science, Human Factors, Human Interface Design, Graphic Design
    or related degree
  • 7+
    years of software development experience, preferably with Java
  • Solid
    understanding of Object Oriented design and development
  • Demonstrable
    experience with 3 or more JavaScript frameworks (Prototype, Scriptaculous,
    Dojo, Yahoo! UI Utilities, ext, OpenRico, jQuery, CSSQuery, Other DOM
    Query APIs, Backbase)
  • Expert
    HTML, CSS, DOM, JavaScript skills
  • Experience
    with 3 or more of the following Ajax
    topics (Back button, history, and bookmarks; Single-page interface; XPath
    targeting; Comprehensive event model; State and the observer pattern)
  • Good
    understanding of web application development with Java and the Servlet and
    JSP specifications
  • Experience
    with Java presentation frameworks such as Spring, JSF, Seam, and Struts is
    a big plus
  • Experience
    with web graphic creation and optimization (should be proficient using
    PhotoShop, Image Ready, Illustrator)
  • Experience
    with Flash
  • Expert
    knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform implementation techniques
  • Comfortable
    with version control, development process, bug tracking, coding standards
    and other aspects of the standard software development lifecycle
