SeatGeek Says LeBron James Has Highest NBA StarPulse
Allen Stern - February 19th, 2010
We first covered NY-based SeatGeek last month after they provided an overview of their ticket buying service. The company describes the service as, “Bing Travel for concert and sports tickets.”
Today they published the February 2010 edition of their TicketPulse sports ticket trending report. The report uses lots of analytics and multiple regression models to generate the graphs and bullet points. Some of the key findings from the report include:
- New Orleans Hornets are the best for ticket value followed by the San Antonio Spurs
- Lakers, Bulls, Celtics offer the worst ticket value
- “The Lakers vs. Celtics game on February 18th represents the highest average ticket price
for all remaining games in the second half of the NBA season, selling at an average of 300 or 375% of face value” - The top 5 NBA stars that show the most interest from fans when on the road are: LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, the Boston Celtics, Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony
You can download the full SeatGeek TicketPulse report here. And in case you are wondering, once Patrick comes back to the Knicks – watch out!
