Manager, Content Distribution
This position is responsible for implementing all of the content distribution, broadband partnerships and mobile efforts for the Digital Media Group. Responsibilities include initiating and managing day-to-day relationships with external partners, overseeing the management of video clip inventory and distribution, and management of mobile initiatives, including SMS and WAP.
You will:
-Manage partnerships with broadband portals (i.e. Yahoo, MSN), social networking and video sites (i.e. Bebo, Veoh), and user-generated video sites (i.e. YouTube, Metacafe) and initiate new partnerships as opportunities arise.
-Oversee all text message (SMS) campaigns and manage vendor (aggregator) relationship for scheduling and delivery of messages. Create strategy for weekly SMS campaigns for each appropriate series.
-Manage the process to prepare all assets for the streaming of full episodes on SHO.com and partner sites, including input on required edits to make episodes TV14 and identifying appropriate promotional spots to accompany the episodes.
-Manage all Business Affairs issues and approvals for all content.
To qualify, you must have at least 3-4 years of solid project management experience. Entertainment industry or digital media experience preferred.
The person in this position must have excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must have the ability to work independently while understanding important guidelines and sensitivities as they relate to the company, third-party partners, talent, etc.
Must have the ability to work with people of all levels within the company, and the ability to switch gears and work well with producers, talent, etc. Must be able to adjust priorities as project needs changes. Attention to detail and ability to self-check work is critical. Must be very familiar with the internet and pop culture.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook are necessary. Must have excellent writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical to success in this position
