Microsoft Betas Into Web Analytics with Gatineau
by Allen Stern on September 14th, 2007
Web Analytics Demystified has the first screenshots from a Microsoft presentation today discussing their upcoming (possibly next week) beta launch of Microsoft’s counter to Google Analytics. Named Gatineau, Robin from Blognation notes that it will feature:
- Out-of-the-box demographic segmentation
- Integrated view of marketing campaign effectiveness
- Integration of conversion value data
- Innovative visualisation of behavioural data
Check out Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions Director Ian Thomas’ slides on Blognation. I don’t see any innovation in the slides. Naturally Microsoft needs a robust analytics product within the AdCenter suite but this is a great chance to shine over GA. Once I get a beta account I will provide a full report. I live and breathe analytics so you will get the real scoop.
This is similar to the new Propeller. Both best be innovatin’ or step off!
