Allen,
Great list of suggestions. Samovar at Moscone is great, with a huge selection of exotic teas.

My favorites near the Moscone convention center, which I tested last week during ad:tech, are:

W Hotel
It's literally next door to the Moscone Center. There are a couple of good bars there, huge couches/sofas in the lobby you can spread out on, and lots of meeting rooms. Best place to go is up one flight of stairs where there's a quiet lounge with no service - great place to hang out and do some work. There's even an old-school PacMan video game right there that you can use during break time.

Bong Su
Bong Su is one block south of the Moscone Center. Fantastic Asian lounge and restaurant. Good place to go for a bit more upscale dinner with friends or clients.

Enjoy San Francisco!!

Rajeev,

Thanks, I'm actually the author of this post (I live here in SF). The W is a good resource as is Bong Su, however Bong Su is a spot that often has official private events during conferences (they do a great job if costly) so is not always an available option for dinner, but when it is the food is indeed good (though I think Slanted Door is a bit better).
