MyStartupJobs seeks to help startups find talent and talent find startups
I had an opportunity to take a look at a new job board which is in private beta. MyStartupJobs, founded by Gunalan Nadarajah, aims to help new startups find the talent needed to create a successful product. The site also helps job seekers find their ideal startup to spend the next sleepless nights working with.
The site is very Web 2.0'ish with its heavy use of tagging and Ajax'y goodness. It has a clean, easy-to use interface and the signup is easy. I would suggest they add a signup button inside of the login box on the top of every page.
I don't understand why the major job sites are not using tagging. While I am not really a tagger for email, jobs is a great place to tag. Searching for jobs can be slow and painful, tagging can speed up the process of finding jobs that meet your needs.
I have noted a few times that niche job boards are hot. My State of the Web: Jobs article from earlier this year also highlights where the major players are currently doing.
Check out the test site. Gunalan is reviewing the comments so if you have ideas or feedback, please post them in the comments. I know your feedback will be very much appreciated by the MyStartupJobs team.

They need to add U.S. cities. I tried to set up a profile but the only three cities offered are all Canadian.

Thanks – I know they are based out of Canada but I will let them know – they should probably open it up worldwide.
