Original Signal Releases Major Update
Original Signal, one of the best aggregators available, has released a major update. It's Original Signal 2.0.
The site brings together the top headlines from the major sites in each category. The site is very smooth and there are widgets available to show the headlines on your site. You can also go mobile with OS, change the order to suit your needs (can't make one page with multiple signals, maybe that's OS 3.0), and make the font bigger (but not smaller). Well done Tako and the team!
Some of the Original Signal 2.0 updates include:
- New visual Design.
- A lot of new signals, they are: Science, Games, 15 Blogs, Apple, World news, Politics, Sports, Finance, Marketing, Movies and Video
- Integrated Yahoo search
- OS rivers for your mobile phones
- Customing the fontsize and amount of headlines
From CNET news.com:
In many ways it's a better Digg front page than Digg itself. It displays more content than Digg's own site, and also has sections for top headlines from different time periods (recent, today, and the week). What's unclear is whether this is good or bad for Digg, and if the Digg team will support it, turn a blind eye, or make an effort to shut it down and reclaim the traffic that Original Signal might be stealing from the site's front page. I think it's potentially good for Digg's overall traffic, but not so much for its front page traffic or branding; Digg's reaction to the site will depend on what they think is more important.
For me, popurls and Original Signal are some of the best at bringing all of the creme to the top.

I have just emailed them in an attempt to get centernetworks on there.
I think others should do it too.
Thanks Darren – I appreciate it – would be awesome if we got listed.
