23 People I’d Like To Meet in 2008
by Allen Stern on January 1st, 2008
Last year I listed 23 people I would like to meet in 2007. I met a good bunch of them which was awesome, some for just a handshake, some for more lengthy conversations. I’ve decided to continue this list with another 23 people I’d like to meet in 2008. Some names are the same as I still am interested in a face-to-face discussion. I hope to meet a lot more CN readers this year, I enjoy the conversations with each and every one of you.
Here are the lists from 2007 and for 2008:
Ya’all know I love ya – I tried to pick a cross-section of people who could help create a better CN by meeting with them. I look forward to meeting everyone at the conferences and meetups in 2008.

Allen, looking forward to it. Hopefully I’ll be let out of my cage the next time you’re in SF.
Alan,
I am flattered to have made your Tip 21 List.” It’s nice to virtually meet you and I hope opur paths cross this year in real life.
Do you ever get out to the Left Coast?
Well, at least you want to meet my boss ;-)
We were in the same room so that counts :)
Sounds good – let me know – looking forward to meeting you.
Happy new year to you as well!
I have met Darren Stuart and hes an ass :p
Would be good to have a meet this year Allen, depending on business I should hopefully be in new york for a couple of days towards the end of the year or maybe in San fran at some point(not sure what conference I fancy this year).
happy new year all!
what’s your name lol – all i see is a corporate name and web site and when i go to your site there are 10 people listed.
Hopefully I’ll make your list next year! lol!
:)
Dude! You know I want to meet you but you said that I would have to be blindfolded, picked up in an unmarked van, flown to a remote location to which I would meet you on a large video screen which would be pixelated to conceal your identity.
I’m hurt that I wasn’t included on the list Allen. I thought you were one of the people who wanted me to come out of the closet but I guess I’m just going to have to stay in here.
Thanks for the interest in meeting up. I am going to publish a list of shows I will be attending this year in the near future. I didn’t see Jeremy Shoemaker on the list but we are actually having a contest for a free trip to SXSW and a role on an episode of RockStartup.

Hope to see you there or at another event!
I never said anything about an unmarked van! I always make sure that people are picked up in a comfortable automobile. I have a Maybach 62S specificially for this purpose. And haven’t you always wanted to have a Gulfstream G550 all to yourself?
Also, remember that the guys with M16s are there for your protection.
you’ve got a great list, and i like how you can essentially ping them and let them know by linking to them.
you should be able to get a lot of those people in the new york area alone.
would be interesting to see if you could map those people out at least regionally (although most are either in the valley or in nyc).
I know a handful of the people on your two lists and would be happy to introduce you.
in person not on seesmic :)
Allen, with pleasure when you like. Happy new year.
you 2 are a perfect match – i will drop your card when i get the chance to meet her
Allen, Allen, Allen…
What did I tell you about Leah? I think I love her… I mean, she codes php, I code php… she codes flex/air, I code flex/air… she is addicted to diet coke, I’m addicted to diet pepsi (recovering diet coke addict)… shes got a macbook pro, I’ve got a macbook pro…
It’s obvious we were meant to be! lol
