Performancing Partners – First Payments Sent
I received an email this week from Performancing that my first check/paypal came through. I learned that one of the users I signed up as a referrer sold an ad, so I made $1.75. Not enough to retire, but it's a good start. I appreciate the fact that these guys actually paid when they said they would. How many ad networks over 10 years wind up not paying anything or being scams. I am also very impressed by the quick payment. When you look at other ad networks, some of them are as bad as Net-90 terms!
Since this paypal payment, one of my other sites sold an ad for $114! Now that's a bit more exciting.
My other coverage includes:
Overall I think Performancing Partners has a solid team and should work out over time. Couple of my current concerns are:
- Moving too fast – It is important that just because a blogger says they want a new feature, doesn't mean it need to be implemented.
- Reporting – currently there is basically no reporting – this will become a big deal quick if they want to scale – they are working on it they say which is great
- Forums – the forums are awesome – how many other ad networks have open public forums for both publishers and advertisers – but at the same time, I think perhaps some of these topics should be more private to one group or another
- Stats on advertisers – thousands of blogs are already in the system – what I would like to see is how many advertisers are already signed up. I think this would help understand where things are going.
- A marketing plan – what's the plan to get advertisers? Getting bloggers is easy.
Overall, I am still very impressed with the service. I will now use my $1.75 to get a large Frosty.
