QA-Performance Analyst
Participate in technical design reviews to ensure user requirements are met by QA & Performance testing.
Develop and execute software quality assurance plans for testing and certification of IEEE developed applications/system upgrades for Xplore and other Web Interface/Electronic products.
Develop and execute quality assurance test plans for verifying software upgrades of non-IEEE developed software used by Web and other electronic products, such as eRights, Verity, Oracle, SQLServer, and Netscape.
Evaluate, setup and maintain test environments to verify quality of all upgrades
Build manual and automated functional test scripts using Mercury tools for QA certification of various internal/external (Web) facing applications.
Create, modify and execute complex LoadRunner C language performance test scripts for testing web applications.
Develop and execute quality assurance tests for integration testing of multiple systems.
Analyze and report testing results, help with defect resolution, recommend changes/solutions to development team.
Utilize defect management software (Quality Center) for requirement traceability and defect reporting.
Participate in application code reviews and analyze code using tools (such as JProbe, Wiley Interscope) to ensure efficient performance
Participate in performance tuning efforts
Work with developers and Sysadmins to debug and resolve issues across production applications
Assist in release management of application code across multiple environments
Maintain project status/issue lists; provide project progress status reports.
Participate in maintaining project/system documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative science field or solid experience in the field of quality assurance is required.
Experience: 2 to 4 years in a software quality assurance-related field or in software-related field. Minimum 2 years application development in Java/J2EE environment
Experience and working knowledge of application tools such as JProbe and Wiley Interscope.
Basic computer knowledge to install and use software and evaluate it.
Knowledge of quality assurance principles and software development is highly desirable, as is some knowledge of Web systems architecture.
Experience required in stress/performance testing complex customer facing web applications, both from an operational and analytical perspective
Working understanding of client/server technologies and Web design is required.
Good analytical and technical communication skills with all staff levels are also required.
