RealNetworks Acquires Casual Gaming Company Trymedia

RealNetworks (RNWK) has announced that they have acquired "substantially all of the assets" of Trymedia, part of Macrovision (MVSN). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed and the deal will close later this quarter. This deal comes after Real acquired New York-based Game Trust in 2007.
Trymedia has over 250 worldwide distribution partners including: AOL, Yahoo!, Telstra, IGN and T-Online.
Sean Ryan notes that Macrovision purchaed Trymedia for $34 million in 2005. RealNetworks markets games under their RealGames brand. Deals like this one show how large the casual gaming market is.
