The Marketing and Sales teams are critical to the success of any game. The Marketing team works closely with game developers to ensure the game has a clear design and a clear ‘X’ factor, (i.e., the defining element of the game that makes it unique and the ultimate reason behind why our customers should pay for and play our game). The Marketing team identifies the key audience for our games and tailors the marketing strategy to communicate clearly to the intended target. The Sales team is responsible for making sure the game reaches all relevant distribution points, so that our customers can find our games at their favorite shopping destinations.
Role Overview
SALES MANAGER, EAST REGION
EA is currently looking for a Sales Manager to work out of the EA New York office and manage the Northeast business (primarily the New York and surrounding markets.) Ideal candidate will drive sales for EASportworld.com, TheSims.com and Pogo.com inventory among advertisers and agencies. Candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of all EA and Pogo.com offerings and the ability to suggest creative ideas for sponsorships and custom casual in-game branding promotions and sweepstakes.
Candidate Requirements:
• 3+ years experience in selling advertising and promotions programs; recent online sales experience required
• Comfortable with selling promotions, integrated partnership programs beyond banner advertisements; past online agency media planning/ buying is a plus
• Solid understanding of the online publisher-side sales processes and online advertising agency management and structure
• Strong knowledge of the regional market and potential; current agency and client relationships are a must
• Candidate must be detail oriented, both written and verbally articulate, a self starter, possess high energy and possess solid presentation, creative and analytical skills
• Can-do, competitive yet team-oriented attitude, the drive to make Pogo.com and EA.com the most effective sites for advertising
• Customer-focused approach- demonstrated strength in finding the win-win solutions with a positive attitude
• Some out of state travel is required
