Search Product Manager

Forbes.com – The Homepage for the World’s Business Leaders – has an exciting, new career opportunity available! This position is responsible for ensuring quality site search.
The Search PM will maintain sharp focus on what searches are being performed on the site and ensure that our results for those terms bring back the most relevant content across the site. Tools for reaching that goal include our content management system, keyword thesaurus and industry taxonomy tagging. The Search PM will also need to excel at reading traffic statistics on the search queries, and be able to make recommendations on improvements to search configuration. In addition, the Search PM is tasked with staying up to date on advances in search technology and opportunities to further improve our search offering. You will work closely with our editors and copy editors to ensure that new content being created is included in search results. This position will also advise on improvements to keyword tagging. You have a librarian’s expertise in content categorization and an editorial sense to keep site content appropriately categorized for use in e-mail newsletters and other areas of the web site.
