Senior Flash Developer
A boutique ad agency in San Francisco has a contract-to-hire immediate opening position for a Senior Flash Developer. While working with the creative team, you’ll primarily work on developing Flash banner ad campaigns and Flash websites. You’ll also participate in large-scale projects with a team when opportunities arise. This is a in-house position.
Our ideal candidate not only has a knockout engineering or computer science background, but is also a developer who has extended experience with motion graphics.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Develop rich-media and standard Flash banners using designs & art direction provided by the creative team
* Develop static and dynamic Flash websites using designs & art direction provided by the creative team
* Integrate banner ads with 3rd party ad-serving hosts (training will be provided if necessary)
* Participate in all phases of the production cycle
* Communicate design decisions as they are specified
SKILLS YOU’LL NEED
* 8+ years of web development experience including JavaScript and HTML
* 5+ years of software development in Flash or Flex
* Extensive knowledge of ActionScript 2 programming, experience with ActionScript 3 a plus
* Strong skills in object oriented programming
* Experience in a company environment involving a healthy product management organization, architects, dev and QA process, and a customer-facing support
* Proven ability to participate in multiple, concurrent projects
* Track record of documenting work and writing specifications
* B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
* Experience with Flex a plus
* Experience with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS a plus
* Experience with server side technologies such as PHP, ASP or Java a plus
* Experience with web services, databases, and SQL a plus
