Senior Product Manager, Consumer Internet
Notice how most of the instant message technology out there is 10 years old, hard to sign up for and even harder to use? Does the asynchronous nature of email bother you? Here at Yoomba we’re creating an easier, faster way to communicate online. We’re a well funded start-up, and our launch is only a couple of months away. We are looking for someone who will play a key role in driving our product roadmap that will make Yoomba the next great online communications platform. Specifically we’re looking for someone who will define our partnership platform and mobile strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Author product specifications, written and visual.
• Work closely with designers and engineering teams to ensure timely and flawless execution.
• Research industry/competitive/consumer trends
• Define and implement third party integrations
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Understanding of system architecture, data models, data exchange interfaces and APIs
• Minimum of 3 years of software/internet product management
• Superlative communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Love of all forms of online communications (IM, VOIP, Video, Webmail, etc.)
NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience at a consumer-facing Web site. • Experience working with offshore engineering teams (ours is in Tel Aviv, Israel)
• Experience in small, dynamic, rapidly evolving work environments
• An engineering degree or a few years of hands-on coding experience
