CastTV is working to build the web’s best video search engine. CastTV lets users find all their favorite online videos, from TV shows to movies to the latest celebrity, sports, news, and viral videos. Our proprietary technology addresses two main video search challenges: finding and cataloguing videos from the web and delivering relevant video results to users. Our goal is to index every video online and provide the best experience for finding and discovering these videos.

We’re funded by DFJ, Ron Conway, and Marc Andreessen and our smart, experienced team is advised by Rajeev Motwani and other notable industry veterans. Our founders are Stanford alums who sold their previous company to Oracle. We are hiring entrepreneurial folks looking to make an impact and help build an amazing product. CastTV is based in the SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco, CA.

JOB DESCRIPTION

CastTV is looking for a quality-obsessed engineer to test the functionality and performance of our products. You will do black-box and glass-box testing of our product and help with scalability analysis. You will create and execute comprehensive test plans. You will file and manage bugs and partner with engineering to resolve and verify them. You will automate as much as possible but be willing to do manual testing when necessary. You will be a valued member of a team that truly believes delivering a high-quality product is key to our success.

QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years software QA experience.
* Proven track record of owning quality for major product releases.
* Experience testing n-tiered online services.
* Experience writing test plans, cases, scripts and suites.
* Experience using open source and commercial automated test tools.
* Ability to troubleshoot and analyze application issues to root cause where possible.
* Relevant educational background preferred.
* Passion for online video. You like watching videos/TV/sports/news, and you will strive to ensure that CastTV has the best product for searching for videos.
