Senior Web Analytics Manager
Consumers today are more sophisticated and better educated than in any previous generation. They decide what they want and when they want it. At Nike, our challenge is to anticipate what they’ll want and be ready with a solution. When we’re really good, it’s something — a product, a service, a whatever — that’s so intuitively perfect the consumer hasn’t even imagined it could exist. Your job? To make sure we know our consumers better than we know ourselves.
As Nike’s Senior Web Analytics Manager is responsible for online web site performance and usage analytics as a whole for all Nike Internet and Web assets. This position [a] provides comprehensive support as a technical expert in the areas of Web performance measurement and user assessment, and [b] leads a team of analysts to provide actionable insight into consumer online behavior.
Lead a team of analytics professionals while serving as a player-coach on that team. In other words, this position is not simply an administrative manager, but also serves as the principal who plans, executes and manages all of Nike’s Web performance/user assessment initiatives, as well as managing weekly and monthly collection of customer data for Nike web properties, and implementing systems for communicating findings to senior management as well as all stakeholders in the Company. Perform critical analysis of current Nike Internet and Web sites performance measures and
performance assessment techniques. Analyze and model all Nike web sites (primarily nikestore.com) performance relative to current and emerging Web metrics standards. Serve as Nike’s internal web performance insights evangelist. Brief, educate, and evangelize top Nike Web property managers, technical experts and program executives on the merits of performance measurement, user assessment, and impact on related CRM initiatives. Propose improvements and solutions to achieve business goals, customer satisfaction, increased engagement and ultimately increased wallet-share. Provide
recommendations and strategy for improving Nike’s digital and online CRM initiatives as well as usability opportunities for Nike digital commerce web sites.
- 5+ years solid experience with Web site development and online data analysis and research.
- 5+ years experience in a Marketing Analyst or similar role (direct marketing, consumer marketing database or related business analytics) providing insights and recommendations to the business that directly drive
the over arching strategy, and ultimately the bottom line.
- 3 +years providing and managing web and Internet performance analytics including 2 + years of experience in a digital commerce or online support environment.
- Extensive working knowledge of analytical tools including at least Omniture SiteCatalyst, and any of the following: Clicktracks, Coremetrics, WebSideStory, Webtrends, Google Analytics, Certifica.com, Comscore.com, Alexa.com, Quantcast.com, Compete.com, Hitwise, WebLog Expert Lite, Linkbot, Discover OnPremise, HBX, Genesis, Google adwords, Google adsense, Google webmaster tool suite, OAS (Open AdStream), and websitepulse.com.
ยท Solid knowledge of how to implement Web Analytics tags within Flash and other Rich Media Applications as well as within CMS tools.
- Advanced understanding of Javascript and HTML and previous experience in coding in these languages
- Ability to interface with systems professionals in order to develop/refine decision support systems and ensure data integrity.
- Excellent project management skills, with ability to independently manage multiple projects.

- Demonstrated analytical ability, strong knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling capability, and expertise in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis techniques (including surveys, usability testing and analysis, and focus groups).
