Senior Web Application Developer

inStream Media is a fully funded startup looking to expand its technology department. We are currently searching for a senior web application developer that can lead in all aspects of project design and development. Experience is needed in enterprise web-based java platforms, database design and architecture, and managing a development team.

Responsibilities include:
• Ownership and development of end-to-end projects using both Java backend and web technologies

• Creation and management of technical design and contributions to the architecture

• Ability to meet deadlines, manage project responsibilities and delegate to local and overseas developers

Experience:
• At least 5 years experience developing enterprise web-based java platforms

• Extensive experience with Java/J2EE, JSP, MVC, Struts, Rails, xml, soap

• Worked with Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, MySQL, Linux, CVS

• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented analysis and design concepts

• Experience with database design and schema architecture

• In depth testing and product release experience

• Knowledge and experience with retail POS systems a plus

• Strong attention to detail; passion for technology, challenging environments and excellence

• Motivated self-starter who likes working on very productive teams

• Knowledge of industry best-practices for web infrastructure implementation

• Excellent communication and organization skills.
