Senior Web Developer
We are looking for a senior-level web developer to work on the presentation-layer development of tvguide.com and associated properties. The candidate will have a strong aesthetic sense and ability to develop clean, standards-compliant, cross-platform and cross-browser lightweight code. Responsibilities: – HTML/CSS/Javascript development and maintenance of the tvguide.com website. – Work individually and in concert with Engineering team to manipulate back-end data on the presentation layer of the site. – Work with product management team to help realize new product designs. – Assist ad sales team in development of new ad opportunites that are both appealing for the advertiser and kind to end-users.
Requirements:
An optimal candidate will have 4-6 years of HTML/CSS/Javascript development with some experience and understanding of ASP.NET/C# development precepts and coding techniques, and experience in data manipulation for dynamically generated websites. Candidate will have experience with XML/XSL/XSLT and other data manipulation techniques. Ideally, the candidate will have extensive experience in working with high-traffic, customer facing websites. The candidate will also have facility in image manipulation/processing for web use using Photoshop, with experience using Flash and Actionscript a bonus. Previous graphic design experience is desirable as well.
