Senior Web Engineer

The newly formed NYC innovation group at MyStrands is seeking a talented senior web engineer to join the NYC office. We are an Internet personalization company [1], with a recent $50m investment and $12m revenues in 2007, [2]. We are actively seeking web engineers with 2 to 3 years of proven experience in these technologies:

- Deep knowledge of HTML, DHTML, Ajax, XML
- Expert in LAMP (PHP, Perl and Python, in that order of preference. A plus if you have a FB app)
- Experience in Java, C and C++
- Experience in DBs (MySql)
- Exposure to web development frameworks (Django, RoR)
- Exposure to blogging platform programming (LiveJournal, Movable Types, Blogger and WorldPress)

We are looking for engineers who understand and have passion for the culture and technology of the web and want to be part of a fast growing and important company that is looking towards an IPO.

The position will be in Manhattan (Tribeca), with a competitive compensation, together with an excellent benefits package. The position will involve limited national and international travel.
