Site Optimization Manager

IAC and Dow Jones have announced its intention to build a new online destination for personal finance which is expected to launch in June 2008. The site uses an application to deliver highly personalized content and offers to users. The venture is headed by Dave Kansas and is located in NYC.

Position: Site Optimization Manager
Reports to: SVP Product and Marketing

The Site Optimization Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the site’s appearance is structured in a way which will generate optimum revenue, whilst ensuring an enjoyable user experience on this new site. In doing this, you will be using your mathematical & marketing skills, predominately testing a variety of layouts before making recommendations and then implementing effective enhancements.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maximizing the sites economic potential through A-B and multi-variable testing
• Responsible for devising and implementing tests with the creative and technology teams
• Direct the interpretation of testing results and the creation of resulting project specs
• Responsible for continuous improvement of testing technologies and processes
• Work with creative and marketing teams to implement increasingly efficient landing pages

Skills / Knowledge Requirements:
• Experience in site merchandizing and optimization techniques and technologies
• BS/BA with 2 – 5 years of relevant experience
• Expert knowledge of site statistics and metrics
• Strong strategic and creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication skills as you will be liaising & working with all departments
• Ability to publicly present ideas and share information
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, external clients and 3rd party vendors
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lead projects, drive team progress and take ownership of complex efforts; familiarity with project management procedures and methodology
