Skitch moves into invite-beta mode... its like the 2.0 version of PaintShopPro

I received a tip last week that Skitch, by Plasq, was moving into invite-beta mode this week. Colin just posted additional information about this move. I am in the process of attempting to get beta keys for all of you, but for now, hop over to Colin's blog for a key.
So I remember being a young kid, going to a computer fair and buying the first version of PSP - Paint Shop Pro. It came on one 3.5" floppy and made me so excited to draw and color. Skitch reminds me of PSP in it's ease of use and absolute functionality.
So basically Skitch is a way to take screenshots, mark them up, and share them with the world. Loads of "uploaded by Skitch" notes are appearing on Flickr. The app is available on the mac only and my hope is that they release a web-version of this. This would make a great iPhone app.
Lastly, they are also launching MySkitch, a social network around sharing the screenshots.
Nice write up, Allen. Skitch seems fantastic to me, so quick and easy! And, unlike many services, is actually very useful.

I'm amazed at the promo video they put together. I've posted a comment over at Colin's blog. Hopefully I'll get an invite so I can try it out. Once I give it the once-over, I'll definitely post about it over at the HTMLCenter blog.
Yeah, I think I remember the PSP on the 3.5" disk. I'm not sure if that came in color though. Anyways, Skitch looks really cool.

Shouldn't this Aussie car salesman be hawking a limited-use, limited-life plastic sweeper, felt-strip mop, bamboo steamer, or stick-on light?
This looks like an amazing way to edit things. I wanted to play around with some image editing for a funny political cartoon I had the other day but I couldnt figure out how to use Photoshop. I am happy there is now an EASY program to use.
This is great. It seems more stuff can be done 100% online now. Please, please send me an invitation

Very cool and actually seems useful.
I usually use photoshop but its so big and its kind of a hassle to do minor editing and to share stuff with my friends.
