Software Engineering Manager

Local Digital Media is a new business unit within NBCU’s Local Media Division, responsible for developing NBCU’s local digital business and brand across the US market. This group will be responsible for guiding the national management and optimization of existing NBCU Owned and Operated websites and growth of new business and distribution opportunities for the local business, including mobile, cable, new network development and emerging digital media.

As the group’s lead technologist, this Technical Director will be responsible for a team that builds the technology behind a suite of web products within the local space. This position will oversee a team of approximately 10 front-end and back-end engineers and must attract the best engineers and build a cohesive team around them.

They will also analyze the variety of platforms and technologies available to achieve a goal and identify the systems needed to architect a complete product offering that fits the group’s goals.As a part of the LDM management team, this position will involve working closely with all of the other disciplines in the group to keep the big picture in mind. Also needs to manage relationships with other internal and external technology teams.
