Growing start-up seeking a Director of Sponsorships. The Sponsorship Sales Rep role is a highly dynamic, dead-line driven sales position that requires the ability to sell customized marketing and business development campaigns to senior level marketing and sales executives across Fortune 500 to small and midsized companies. Must work with little to no supervision. Willingness to build the sales team from the ground up (meaning: you start the program and the goal is to have you end up running the division as you grow it).

Specifically, we are looking for ONE OR MORE of the following:
- Prior experience generating sponsorship or sales revenue, preferably including festival/music/dance/arts events at the level of at least $100k of new business per year with an ability to close 6-figure sponsorship deals.
- Credible door-opener relationships with brand managers, marketing directors, agencies, media buyers, etc., in such categories as consumer electronics, travel, food, beer/beverage, online and others.
- A creative, strategic and critical eye to overall sales approach and long-term planning.
- Creative, strategic and programmatic approach to meeting sponsors’ business objectives via a proprietary association with major sponsors.
- Experience creatively activating sponsorships on the ground.
- Experience in grant-writing and the philanthropic world.

This is a fast-paced sales job, requiring extensive phone work and the ability to sell in a creative and consultative environment. The position offers the candidate a number of long-term, upward mobility options. You should have a strong sales history selling high value, feel good products to large corporations.

Fee, commission and job title commensurate with experience. Stock in company granted for Director level.

Location is unimportant but some travel will be required to sponsor sites during the year. Work can be done from office (california) or from home.
