Staples Launches Career Site; Offers Free Resume Printing and Business Cards

staplesOffice superstore Staples has launched a new career site today which they are calling a “career stimulus program”. The site combines information from the Staples website, CareerBuilder information and paper information from paper manufacturer Southworth Paper.

The website is very basic in content. It looks like the big feature on the career site is the ability for people to receive free resume and business card printing. From today through mid-June, they are offering 20 free resume copies and 40 business cards. If you live in a city with multiple Staples locations, you could easily get a couple hundred business cards – here in NYC, a short walk would be all it takes.

I’ve marketed paper for years and this looks like a great program to get people to try a higher-end paper than they most likely use on a regular basis. Resumes should always be printed on high-quality watermarked bond. Same goes for thank you letters and the envelopes you mail the letters in!
