CollegeTonight.com is a social network that gives you constant updates about what is going on around campus and within your campuses town.
I checked this out, as, being the Webmaster at a college, I have to keep abreast of these sorts of things. I was extremely disappointed as soon as I hit the site. There is one major problem I found right off the bat: There does not seem to be any way to search for your college, or to even view a list of the colleges that are registered in the system. How do I know if it’s worth it to join if I can’t find out whether other people from my college are registered?
I also checked out the info on Killer Startups, and they raise a very valid point: If this site is intended to be for alumni as well as college students, why do they require that you have an edu e-mail address? If you are no longer a student at the college, most likely you don’t have an edu address.
