Corsin let me know via Skype that the 100 million euros is not confirmed.
Best I can do in the translation is that the Holtzbrinck group made the purchase. For the young firm founders the sale is the best business decision of their life – for the venture Capital companies, which had invested in the student network, they too made out on the deal.
Update from Spiegel.de: According to the official report to the sales of StudiVZ, published now, the founders of the network remain further “in the management”. Konstantin Urban, managing director of Holtzbrinck network, therefore said, the Community owes its success to the founders and all coworkers. “We are therefore pleased that the proven team remains on board”, so Urban.
