Supply Business Development Manager

MediaMath is the leader in the new and rapidly growing world of online exchange advertising. Online exchanges create markets (just like financial markets) for trading online advertising space, creating new opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of online advertising. MediaMath is a fast-growing company that has developed a proprietary platform for advertising agencies which provides technology, strategy, services, and insights to trade effectively across the leading display advertising exchanges on behalf of major advertisers. MediaMath partners with leading display ad exchanges including Google/DoubleClick AdX , Yahoo/Right Media and Microsoft/AdECN.

MediaMath is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to create and manage partnership relations with exchanges, networks, publishers and data providers. The ideal candidate is an experienced deal maker that has solid working knowledge of the online advertising industry, strong quantitative skills, and a history of producing exceptional results.

In this high-visibility position, you will be responsible for managing the entire partnership sales cycle, including identifying, structuring, negotiating and closing profitable partnerships. You will also be responsible for managing these partnerships on an ongoing basis. MediaMath is a fast-paced environment and is seeking someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment with little guidance.

Responsibilities:
* Develop, grow and maintain strong strategic and tactical relationships with networks and publishers both on and off of the online display exchanges.
* Developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of each current and potential partner, from technical specs to business development initiatives to future plans.
* Work with the Sales & Operations teams to understand the needs of current and future customers and to translate these needs into solutions with partners and data providers.
* Act as a liaison to the advertising sales team to keep them up to date regarding new/changing advertising supply and data opportunities.
* Prospect and network to build pipeline of potential partners
* Support and/or lead negotiations and/or contract formulation.
* Independently manage smaller deals from initial contact through evaluation, proposal and final transaction.

Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree
* 2-4 years of experience in a Business Development/Channel Sales (OEM)/ Partnership position. Ideally this experience will be in the Technology, Internet, or Media/Advertising industries. Experience with online display advertising is of particular relevance.
* Sales experience a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong consultative sales skills, personable
* Passionate about marketing, no fear of numbers
* Must be able to travel 10 – 20% of the time (frequent day trips, semi-regular overnights required)

This position is full-time in New York City. Candidates must be US citizens or have secured appropriate work visas. Candidates must also be within daily commuting distance of Manhattan or willing to relocate.
