Going to SXSW? What’s Your Communication Plan?
We’ve covered the SXSW conference for the last two years and plan to attend and cover this year as well. What’s your communication plan if you are attending? Do you plan to be sitting on Twitter (and the other social nets) all day just waiting to send that all important message? Are you going to ignore the social nets and use the time for face-to-face networking?
My goal is to meet as many CN readers (and CC customers) as I can. I also want to attend sessions where I can either learn something new or support a friend who is speaking. Assuming the convention center setup is the same as last year (you know, 2 mile walks), then my plan is to pick a table and post the location on CN so ya’all can come by and chat. We can talk about your startups, record a startup interview or chat, or just debate which BBQ joint in Austin has the best ribs. Oh yea and I have fresh CN stickers to give away – look how happy Sunir is from Freshbooks with his CN sticker!
I plan to check in on the social networks throughout the day but have no Twitter/Facebook/Friendfeed application on my mobile phone. Leave a comment if you are planning to attend SXSW, if there are any panels you plan to attend and if you are going to be using any social networks on a continual basis.

This will be my third year at SXSW Interactive. I will be active on Twitter @wtd throughout the conference. I’m looking to put together some impromptu lunch groups as well.
I’ll be there and will be moderating a panel on recommendation technology at 5pm on Monday the 16th with Mike Hudack, Alex Hillman, and Trevor Legwinski!

Will be coming across the pond from the UK to be there. Will probably forget my adapter so will be on twitter for about 4 hours ’til I run out of juice.

Look forward to meeting you again at SXSW. I am excited to attend for the second year . This year I am having a Core Conversation on How to Sell Social media within your company . I hope to share my experience of doing that at Network Solutions.

I want to go to Alex HIllman’s panel and of course get a CN sticker. This is my first time to Austin and I hear they also have a video game arcade with old video games?
Ask someone how to get to the “Drag” over by UT Campus, and you’ll find the arcade.
will sara lacy be there to interview another big web celebrity?
I believe Sarah will be in Africa or some other far away land considering that she admits that her bomb last year made her – you’d think she would want to come back and meet people – I know I would totally sit down with her for a discussion of Web 2.0.

I’m going to be checking twitter ALL the time to see what my friends are doing.
I am also going to subscribe to particls@particls.com from gtalk and add the keyword #sxsw to see what the rest of the conference is doing in near real-time. In case something cool is going on that my friends don’t know about.

I’ll be there. Are you using the my.SXSW site at all? Seems to be better set up than last year (I’m “epc” on my.SXSW).
I relied on twitter’s track feature last year. Not sure if I’ll use search.twitter.com or wing it.
