dukudu Archive

The auction story we broke last week for so-called German Twitter-clone dukudu.de has just completed. The final price was $58,192. The founder noted that it cost about 25k euros ($33k). You can check out the final auction details and we will be watching to see what comes next for dukudu under the new management.

It looks like they made a nice profit which frankly isn't so bad considering all the publicity they have received over the past week.

Update: The auction has jumped thanks to us (ha) to $11500!

It's a Twitter clone! Yep, that's right… today, you can own a clone of the "popular but useless" Twitter service! German company "dukudu" has placed their Twitter-clone on eBay. Unfortunately I can't read all of the German in the auction, but for $6708, can you go wrong? I will note that dukudu looks way better than Twitter!
