We reviewed the main IAmFreeTonight Web application in July including a hot video review. It's like an escort service without paying. It's in the same category as MeetMoi (CN Review) except MM is mobile-based but both tools help you find someone to hook up with for tonight (or the near future).

From their press release: "Clifford Lerner, eTwine's CEO, states that "we are absolutely delighted by the extraordinary growth that our latest Facebook application is experiencing and we will continue to add features to the application that appeal to the member base." Lerner continues, "Facebook Platform has created many new commercial opportunities and a company such as eTwine must be able to react quickly in order to take advantage of the ever changing landscape. As a result of the many new revenue streams that have become available to the company, eTwine will pursue all avenues that allow the company to enhance shareholder value."

Once again, just as I wrote this morning regarding MindTouch, how many users are active, not just ones that tried the app and left. Naturally any Facebook app that shows attractive men and women is going to get users to give it a try but how many stay is the key to success.

No, it's not a porn or escort service. It's a way to tell people you are free tonight for a date or meetup. They had a man who has used the service several times and a woman who was using it for the first time. The woman appeared to be their best looking applicant on the site from what I can tell.

The site appears similar to MeetMoi. MeetMoi brings people together using mobile and locator services for a more immediate hookup. IAmFreeTonight allows you to provide the days you are free to schedule a date/meetup.

The site appears quite overwhelming to me with everything as either a hover javascript or a popup. Not sure why the profiles need to be in a new window as it just complicates things. They do appear to have a lot of profiles and from what I can tell, college students are using the service heavily.
