The Sign Before You Hit The Bridge
I can’t seem to figure out why I think this sign is awesome, but just like the original poster on Subchat, it is. Maybe it has something to do with pivoting or just the ability to get some advance notice when we are about to do something incorrect. Naturally if you run a company, you know that you don’t always get to hit this sign before you hit the bridge. Maybe the key is to growing your startup is to figure out how to setup signs all along the road so you never get too close to the bridge.
Or maybe it has nothing to do with any of that and the town is pissed that trucks keep hitting the bridge.

The Time Has Come To Pivot CenterNetworks
As many of you know, I’ve been spending nearly all of my time on CloudContacts and will continue to do so going forward. I have been slowly attempting to sell CN but frankly am not really sure what is the best way to make that happen. So after spending several days in the local library doing research on pivoting (did you know the Dewey decimal system has a whole section for pivots? 632.B), I’ve decided the time has come to pivot CenterNetworks. And let me just say that what we will be doing is downright revolutionary and brilliant!
It’s not that I don’t love startups and all of you – I still do. I will still do everything I can to provide feedback and advice as I always have. Since I am now a “pivot expert” – your startup can hire me for PTM — that’s Pivot Transition Management for you pivoting newbies.
So I started to think about what kind of pivot makes the most sense for CenterNetworks. Here’s the list I came up with:
- a business and tech scraper – oops, Henry Blodget got that one covered
- a porn site (bet you didn’t know this but I turned down an opportunity to be the first Penthouse webmaster) – oops, Tumblr has that covered
- a how-to video site where I could make videos like “how to open a Heinz ketchup packet” or “how to dial 911 on your phone” – oops, the four-time, four-time, four-time, four-time pivoting Mahalo got that one covered
I decided the best way to explain how CN is pivoting was to do it on video. So check out the video below and learn more about how CN will change – the layout change will take place on April 2, 2011. Thanks to everyone who supported CN for the last four years and to all of those who will continue supporting CN going forward.
Don’t forget to subscribe to the CN YouTube channel so you instantly know when we post new videos.
