Rumor: Buzznet Acquires Qloud

QloudMashable is reporting that Buzznet has acquired Qloud for a "little over their last round valuation." Qloud launched in November 2007 and is backed by AOL Founder Steve Case. PaidContent reported that Buzznet picked up $25 million in VC funding last week and was looking at potential acquisitions. Could Qloud be the first one?

Qloud provides a music directory and listening application for Facebook, Friendster, Bebo and hi5.

Steve Case Sure Does Get Around – Qloud Music Launches

QloudSteve Case, the man who founded AOL and more recently RevolutionHealth, has launched the home for the Facebook application "My Music". Currently Qloud is only available on Facebook but they suggest that more services are coming soon. The service allows you to stream music and has social features including top lists, and the ability to check out what your friends are listening too. The app reports over 1 million users – naturally you know what I think of install numbers. Let’s see active users please Steve.
