Start My Song – For Songwriters

You know that song about, “shorty”, or getting down, and/ or love? Which one you say? Exactly. It could be a good number of songs currently on the roster of your average hip hop station. Song writing, it seems is at a stalemate. We know Celine Dion didn’t come up with the ‘I love you forever even after you go’ song. Loladex can be likened to a more intimate Yelp with recommendations from friends and friends of friends. Eluma – Organize that Web Clutter

Here’s another weapon to add to your web arsenal: eluma, the latest in bookmarking tools. As any serious web surfer knows, bookmarks are the perfect accessory to go with your web browser of choice be it the uber-hip Firefox, or the cool indie darling Opera. You’ve tried bookmarking tools like diigo,and delicious before, but weren’t terribly impressed. Eluma aims to be better. If you write a blog or own a website, and want to increase traffic to your site, Siterake is the place to start. Siterake compiles all the necessary data to analyze incoming traffic to your website. Data (which is presented in pie and linear charts) include search engine breakdown (specifically, the percentage of traffic that comes from Google, Yahoo, and MSN), Region breakdown (the top four countries), referral history from the major search engines, and finally, specific search phrases that have led visitors to the site. read more »

With LookyBook, a site dedicated to picture books, you can virtually leaf through children’s illustrated books. While it’s not exactly the same as holding an actual book between your hands, it does give you a good idea of what books are worth buying for your kids, or even for yourself, if you’re indulgent. read more »
