Threadsmith – Create Embroidered Products Online
The internet is officially impacting the age-old practice of embroidery. Threadsmith is a website where users can, from the comfort of their sofa, select from a variety of garments, choose colors and styles, and create custom embroidery. The product will then be delivered to their door. In the next few months, Threadsmith plans to add a whole new service to its repertoire- users can upload unique images and virtually superimpose them over a garment of choice to preview the final product. read more »

Topper Search is like JLo. You can have a little or a lot. Depends on what you want. Topper personalizes your search engine. Its cutting-edge technology can build you an "ad-hoc" intelligent model to filter and customize your search to fit your needs and wants. Topper is trainable. Weare.us – Social Support Networks
Social networks often revolve around maintaining existing friendships, but offer little meaningful connection beyond that. WeAre.Us attempts to connect individuals in order to create a social support network. The website, which is actually a platform for a handful of smaller social networks, primarily connects people afflicted with a common disease (there are networks devoted to individuals affected by HIV, Huntington’s disease, and cancer, among others). read more »
GumGum – Photo Licensing Platform
Newcomer GumGum aims to make a difference in media licensing on the internet. There’s a significant divide between offline licensing norms and those online, as the nature of the world wide web dictates different standards. Thus GumGum has developed a monetizing platform for online images. The service is based on impressions. Photos can be licensed on a CPM basis—usually about 15-20 cents, however determined by the owner, or they come free with an advertisement attached. read more »
