Techcrunch40: AOL Product Launch
Written by Allen Stern - September 17, 2007
AOL shows off their new product called bluestring which is a multimedia player for videos, pictures and audio. It's all about memories with this new tool from AOL
- why is it so hard to upload a file
- media assets all over the place - problem
- want to get everything together
- sharing has been a major hurdle up to today
- interesting that it's tied into flickr
- "feels like a desktop app not a web app"
- makes a cute little show
- you can then string it over to another person - and then they can add additional items to the string
- hrm - what happens if one of the items in the string is deleted by the source?

Allen, I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually upload anything on bluestring. It says upload in a few places, but nothing seems to be happening.
To upload media assets click the blue "upload" button in the top right side of the application. Good feedback on the "Uploads" tab on the left side of the application, that is where all of your uploads are placed.
