Is it true that the conference is not that great in terms of the quality of demos?

Thanks John – I would have limited the attendees vs. getting a bigger place – start small and grow. Easier to grow than shrink. I am also not sure this is a conference, more like a 140 company infomercial (not saying that is bad) but its not your typical "learn something new" conference.

Yea, I think a couple of the presentations should have a redo like yap got. And yes, your product would get greater acceptance if you let people use their existing contacts if they want to. I am usually against building on another’s platform – but this is a good place to leverage.

I think most of the startups were genuine. I met a good bunch of them and they seemed honest. You can believe me when I say you will always get no BS here :)

great post and coverage. Big success and the palace was too small of a venue. I always hate the Palace wifi coverage it always is bad there. I believe that Mike and Jason could have gotten a big place. Great turnout for their first conference. O’Reilly should be nervous.
