I've try to use technorati as a provider, problem! not able to retrive information by using openid.sreg. It's work when using myopenid.com as provider. Anyone can advice?

In the meantime their search did not work almost all day yesterday. Funny priorities: let the core service die why putting on new bells and whistles:-(

Zoli - I tried to be positive :) But I agree, the new CEO won't talk with me - only the top 100! One can only hope we will hear an actual strategy at some point.

The Technorati announcement is quite confusing actually. ;)

Technorati is an identity provider since December 2006</strong already; today's annoucement just has the wrong date (check the links in the post). So all it does is showing how to comment on Blogger with a Technorati profile URL.

Sorry if that was confusing, my intention was to highlight how to use OpenID. Uptake has been slower than I'd have imagined, I thought posting a little "how to" might help. Technorati has been supporting OpenID for over a year (yes, that first post was from October 2006) however having support for it on Blogger vastly expands its applications, I'm hoping Blogger's adoption of OpenID will push it closer to critical mass.

Yes, we have had a bout of search system instability the last two days (precipitated by a power outage to one rack at the data center, if you care for gory details) but things are looking reasonably stabilized now. Despite the dirge some are profiting in humming, the core service is not languishing.
