So Mashable's pages hold up for 30 secs or so while it waits for Technorati to load the javascript - which it never does. That's the problem with using external scripts. Maybe widgets need to come with code so if they can't load in x seconds, move on. </p><p>Certainly plays a bigger role as we use more and more widgets.
