GoogleGoogle added a new feature to the Google Webmaster Tools this week. If you have never used Google Webmaster Tools, I sugget you hop over there asap. Google offers a bunch of tools for verifying your site within the Google search. You can also get stats on your pagerank, most searched terms and a lot more.

And now they have added a function whereby you can tell the Googlebot spider how fast you want it to index your site. Google suggests moving to the Faster option if your server can handle it. And we give Google what Google wants :) As you can see from the chart below, you can see Googlebot stats as well. This image is from CenterNetworks.

To get to this new feature, click on "Crawl Rate" on the left menu within the Diagnostic section.
