Truemors: The Rumor Is No Updates in a Month
Truemors is a place to share rumors that you hear. We reviewed the service when it launched nearly two years. Trumeors was started by very popular web personality Guy Kawasaki and was sold to NowPublic for an undisclosed sum. When the service launched, Guy was quick to note that he spent "only" $12k to produce the service. Mathew Ingram called the spend a "waste".
Today, via a tipster, we learned that the Truemors site hasn’t been updated in nearly a month. The last story about "giant breasts" was made public on the 27th of February. The other content categories also haven’t been updated in nearly a month. The phone number to submit tips still is active as of the time of this post. Guy is on the board of NowPublic and just wondering why he would let the site go inactive? Interestingly enough, Truemors is represented for advertising by Federated Media.
Guy will be at SXSW next week – I hope to get a video interview with him to ask him about Truemors, his popurls copycat AllTop along with what he’s focused on these days. In case you are unfamiliar with AllTop, it’s a directory of rss feeds.

How is less than two weeks almost a month? It’s 12 days, math wiz.
not if you factor in the time change from last weekend!
