I've felt this way lately but I thought it was just the bloom off the rose after 9 months of heavy duty Twitter use. I'm feeling a little burned out but it could just be the turnover in relationships as people come & go from social networks. It sometimes feels like I'm constantly in a waiting room, greeting new people. It's not them, it's ME!

A bit of removal from a service is not a bad thing. However, I like how the previous post is twitter related. :)

@nathan Ha, good one. Going to post busy != productive on facebook now.

@liz - I feel the same way, and I've only been using Twitter for 1+ month. But I think you can prevent burnout if you focus on using it for say 1-2 hours a day, and keep in mind what your goals for using Twitter are, whether it's to build new friendships or business contacts, or keep in touch with local happenings.

I especially like this: "It's time to focus even more on applications that generate real revenue, create real time savings, more utility, etc."

That's what I look for in blogs.

Thanks!

Could not agree more.

Too many self-inflating posts about Scoble or Guy or Gary.

Philosophical diatribes won’t help you succeed in the trenches. Vague predictions about “new media” or “social marketing” aren’t going to put food on the table.

Get out there and do and the share TACTICS.

Thanks!
