VP/Director – Strategy Generalist
The Publicis Modem & Dialog Strategy & Analysis Group is responsible for driving strategic thinking and economic insight across multiple client engagements. The primary function of the VP, Director is to improve client decision-making by enhancing insights about customers, segments, financial tradeoffs, and the implications of campaign results on future initiatives.
DESCRIPTION:
· Define scope, recommended approach, and manage execution of major strategic projects for clients
· Play a leadership role on client engagements, serving as a trusted marketing strategy advisor to both account leads (internal) and clients (external)
· Serve as thought leader in aligning digital marketing strategy with a client’s business goals and objectives
· Extend client relationships into more actionable and value added services
· Convince clients of the value of strategic services to their business – help them define needs and potential solutions
· Integrate strategy activities into a broader continuous improvement customer relationship management process
· Lead the design and development of digital measurement and optimization solutions, guiding
clients in defining measurement and testing strategy, vision, and infrastructure
· Partnering with Media, drive digital marketing optimization process for digital campaigns
leveraging multiple channels, including online advertising networks and creative, paid search, email marketing, and site.
· Drive ongoing optimization of site performance. Drive strategic use of Web analytics, multivariate testing tools, behavioral targeting, site research and competitive analysis to
optimize goals of B-c and B-B websites.
· Lead analytic teams in development of insights based on data analysis of digital marketing
initiatives and channels.
· Play an active role in new client acquisition and new business pitches, identify new opportunities
and establish relationships with prospective clients, participate in or lead several new business
initiatives simultaneously
· Codify and publish formal frameworks and methodologies for approaching major strategic issues,
both leveraging existing Publicis Modem & Dialog intellectual capital and developing innovative
concepts
· Provide methodological support, coaching, professional development and training to staff
· Participate in the hiring and allocation of the S&A team
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years’ total business experience in Management Consulting, Marketing Agency, or
Interactive Consulting
Deep experience (8+ years) as a marketing strategy advisor
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a client-service role (with a management consultancy or in a
strategic agency role)
Experience with conducting and analyzing primary market research, although deep expertise is
not required
Minimum 4 years’ experience working in the interactive/ digital marketing space
Analytical experience: pro forma modeling, valuation modeling, business case development
Experience managing junior team members
Strong familiarity with digital metrics such as those associated with banner ads, web sites, and
other digital media
· In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research,
customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care)
· Degree in marketing, statistics, mathematics, or economics: MBA or advanced degree a must
· Possession of excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
· Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills
· Experience managing and coordinating multiple strategy projects across internal teams and
client relationships
