NY Video 2.0 Demo: Vusion High Def Video Provider

Tonight at the NY Video 2.0 meeting, Vusion presented their application. Vusion offers an instant-on, full-screen video product. They claim that 95% of the Internet users can be reached in either DVD or HD quality video using Vusion. Their first client is Island Def Jam Music Group.

Most of the questions centered around pricing. Apparently Vusion charges per minute of watched video instead of by file size transferred. They believe that this is a better pricing model because it’s not based on the transfer but the actual viewable time.
