General Description >>
The Web Architect will collaborate cross functional teams in designing the architecture of Neighborhood America’s service-oriented platform for rapidly deployable highly scalable enterprise social networking web applications, as well as prototyping new designs and applications and researching new technologies and technical opportunities. This position is responsible for understanding end-to-end requirements and providing technical expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining our systems architectural standards and best practices.
Core Responsibilities>>
Web Architects at Neighborhood America have expert knowledge of cutting edge design concepts as well as proven experience in designing high-end web-based software applications. Web Architects are self-starters, able to work with limited supervision and accountable for:
§ Working in teams that develop and integrate social networking services for our customers using the ELAvate platform.
§ Documenting the existing system architecture and communicating new design concepts to the Software Engineers
§ Planning, estimating and executing on-time development.
Basic Qualifications >>
§ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
§ Must have a minimum of 7 years web application design and development experience using a variety of diverse web programming technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL Java, C++, JavaScript, CSS, O/R/M Concetpst, MVC, Design patters, refactoring, XHTML, XML, XSL, IIS, Apache, and SSL.
§ Must have experience with and strong knowledge of object-oriented development, web services, networking, and application security.
§ Must have an in-depth knowledge of at least one industry-leading relational database management system such as MS SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, Oracle, etc.
§ Must have ability to analyze and learn rapidly changing technologies and apply them as part of integrated solutions to business requirements, as well as work experience in the software development process including requirements gathering and analysis, design, selection of tools and technologies, release and version control, testing methodologies and deployment management.
§ Must be a hands-on software developer able to write code to meet specifications as needed to meet the goals and objectives of the company.
§ Must be a strong team player and comfortable working with upper management, customer service, project management, quality assurance, sales, graphics and technical staff
§ Responsible self-starter who is able to execute corporate strategy with minimal supervision.
§ Strong time management and team organizational skills.
