Web Producer
Random House, Inc. is the world’s largest general trade book publisher. It is a division of Bertelsmann AG, one of the foremost media companies in the world.
The Crown Publishing Group, which includes Crown Adult Trade Books, Random House Audio, and Information Publishing Group which includes Fodor’s Travel, is looking for an experienced Web Producer. As a Web Producer, you will manage day-to-day development and maintenance of various web sites, email campaigns, and web-related projects with the primary role being hands-on development, coding, and testing. Our ideal candidate will be positive, enthusiastic and have a solid background in various web programming languages, web analytics and email broadcasting, with a focus on technical web production.
•Work with marketing and design teams to implement marketing campaigns including email, site features, landing pages, banners, etc.
•Manage large scale, internet / technology based projects with a focus on accomplishing marketing objectives.
•Keep abreast of changes in the SEO landscape and implement SEO best-practices.
•Create targeted and personalized email campaigns using state-of-the-art email broadcasting technology.
•Compile, analyze and summarize traffic (through Google Analytics and Hitbox) and recommend any necessary programming and/or architectural changes to improve site or campaign performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum 3 years web production experience preferably with an online retailer, or equivalent agency or consulting experience.
•A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
•Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Flash.
•Experience with the following a plus: AJAX, XML, XHTML, XSLT, ColdFusion, PHP, Java.
The individual we seek must be self-motivated and be able to work independently as well as in a team. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Skill in troubleshooting and resolving issues necessary. Excellent internal-customer service skills, organizational and communication skills.
